Danail Stoyanov

 

Bio

I received the BEng degree in electronics from King's College London, UK, in 2001, and the PhD degree in medical image computing from Imperial College London, UK, in 2006. I was a Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellow between 2009 and 2014 during which time I joined the Centre for Medical Image Computing and the Department of Computer Science, University College London (UCL), where I lead the Surgical Robot Vision Group. Now I am a Senior Lecturer at UCL and Programme Director for the MSc in Robotics and Computation. My main research interests include computer vision, medical image computing, medical robotics and image-guided surgery. I am an associate editor for the IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters and a deputy editor for the International Journal in Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery as well as regularly being involved in the committees for MICCAI and IPCAI.
